Cathedral by Candlelight
Want to experience something different this year for Halloween instead of the standard “trick-or-treaters”? Walk back in time with us into the depths of the Forest Cathedral with an historical character from the past. Come view the ancient forest as we walk beneath the giants by candlelight. Either a French Marine from the 1750’s who saw these massive trees 250 years ago, or a lumberman from the 1800’s will be there to guide us. Candy and hot chocolate will be served at the Log Cabin Inn Environmental Learning Classroom. Bring your flashlights!

Winter in the Woods Carriage Rides | December 7th & 14th, 2019
Let yourself be carried away this winter at the Gateway Lodge. Take a ride on a beautiful horse-drawn carriage in the heart of Cook Forest on each Saturday of the Winter in the Woods Weekends. As you go dashing through the snow along River Road, snuggle close to that someone special and take in the breathtaking scenery. “Winter in the Woods” Tasting at Gateway Lodge | December 7th & 14th, 2019
Celebrate the holiday season with a five-course tasting at Gateway Lodge. Live music accompanies dinner. Wine pairings from our award-winning list will be offered to complement your experience. Seatings at 5:30pm and 8pm. $120 per couple. Wine pairings are an additional $25 per person and to be paid for at time of dinner. *Tickets go on sale on 11.16.19. Tax and gratuity are added to ticket sale.
