It’s Christmas Eve and Mrs Claus is home with the elves awaiting the return of Santa. While baking (burning) her famous cookies she reminisces about all of the things that make this season her favorite; especially the MUSIC. Mrs Claus gives us the in’s and out’s of all the daily operations of Santa’s workshop. All of the holiday cheer is quickly put aside as Santa is caught in a terrible winter storm threatening his return home for the first time EVER! This fun and classy Christmas show is packed with all of your holiday favorite songs and a few Broadway hits too! Is Santa going to return to Mrs Claus in one piece? Can Mrs Claus keep it together or will the Elves continue to act out in rebellion? Come and share your holidays with the woman who runs the show and experience the true meaning of Christmas through the eyes of Mrs Claus. Ashes and Iron Blacksmith Shop Archaeological Digs
Clear Creek State Park’s lumbering history is being uncovered inch by inch by our volunteer archaeologists, Brian and Amanda Valko-Fritz. Meet at the blacksmith’s shop dig site above the maintenance building and help to discover more about the man who pounded iron in the 1800’s. Come for the day or for an hour. Youth ages 8-18 who attend all three Saturdays for a total of 9 hours or more will receive the Bureau of State Parks Junior Historians collectable tag.

DiscoverE – Outdoor Explorers
Explore, Experience, Enjoy – Tuesdays in July are for 6-8 year olds who want to learn more about the small stuff. You will take a new look at the forest, soil, and water through a magnifying glass and then see how small things help bigger plants and animals survive. Each Tuesday is a different adventure. Please register for one or all three nights by calling the park office at 814 752-2368.
Discover E is a series of exciting programs for young people, provided by the Pennsylvania Bureau of State Parks. Led by trained State Parks staff, the secrets of PA’s natural and historic resources are unlocked through hands-on exploration and fun outdoor activities. Participants receive certificates and tags when they attend all three evenings!

DiscoverE – Penns Adventurers
Penn Adventurers is a three Thursday night series for ages 9-12 who wish to join the adventure of learning outdoor skills. Learn how to build a fire with flint and steel, navigate with a compass, and build a primitive shelter. We will practice identifying trees and plants and study their historical uses. Preregistration is required by calling the park office at 814 752-2368.
