Snowman In The Forest - An Annual Winter Celebration in Cook Forest State Park

The Cook Forest Vacation Bureau sponsors an annual "Snowman In The Forest" contest which runs from first snowfall of the Winter to last snowfall in February, with our official Snowman in the Forest Day on February 18, 2012 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Feb 5, 2012 Update

It seems as if Mother Nature is not going to cooperate this year with our Snowman in the Forest Day that is scheduled for Saturday, February 18th. It appears as we are not going to have snow this day.

Because of this ...we have moved the event to the Sawmill Center of the Arts, on the Vowinckel-Cooksburg Road (near Swimming pool and Verna Leith Theatre). We will still be having the Chili-cook off Contest, Hot Dogs, the Happy Dog Contest, horse drawn carraige rides, Smokey the Bear, raffles, shopping at the center itself, and additional games for the kids are being planned.

Dont let the lack of snow keep you from coming to Cook Forest, we are planning different and fun events for the day.

Events are scheduled from 11:30 - 2:30 pm.

Note: If we get lucky and get snow..the event will take place along the river as usual!
