General facts and information about Clear State Park

Clear Creek State Park encompasses approximately 1700 acres in the scenic Clear Creek Valley. The park borders the 10,000 plus acre Clear Creek State Forest. The 15 miles of well-maintained trails provide access to the splendors of the park. Rhododendron and mountain laurel abound. Hikers may spot one of the many forms of wildlife in the park, including deer, bear, turkey and grouse. The Ox-shoe Historical Trail is a popular self-guided attraction affording a leisurely walk throughout the park. Scenic views of the area are available at Bear Town Rocks which is accessible from the Bear Town Rocks Trail. This trailhead is located near the entrance to Clear Creek State Park. Opportunities abound for anglers in Clear Creek, where stocked and native brook trout can be found. Clear Creek, Callen Run and Clear Run are stocked with brook, rainbow and brown trout.
